The Branden & Jamie Dickey Family Foundation is dedicated to bringing hope, healing, and opportunity to children facing serious medical challenges. Inspired by our own family’s journey with Type 1 diabetes, autoimmune conditions, and vitiligo, we support the hospitals and organizations that give children the chance to grow, thrive, and dream beyond their diagnoses.
Rooted in love and strengthened by personal experience, we stand with families during their hardest moments — ensuring no child faces their fight alone and every child knows they are deeply worth fighting for.
The Grand Marshal of the 2026 Conejo Valley Days Parade is Chris Carafelli, a lifelong Conejo Valley resident who has spent decades giving back to the community he proudly calls home.
The son of Ray “Boom-Boom” Carafelli, who served as Conejo Valley Days Grand Marshal in 1990, Chris continues his family’s legacy of community pride and involvement.
Since the age of 13, he has dedicated countless hours to local service, supporting organizations and events such as the Fargo’s Angel Parade Committee, Meals on Wheels, Conejo Valley Days Special Kids Day, CVRD’s Touch-A-Truck, and numerous Conejo Valley Days parades and fundraisers.
His deep connection to Conejo Valley Days dates back to childhood and continues today through his ongoing volunteerism and community engagement throughout the Conejo Valley.
This year’s Conejo Valley Days Parade Theme Contest winner is Kinley Morehead, a graduating senior! Her creative and joyful theme, “Hillside Trails & Cottontails”, beautifully captures the heart of our community where open spaces, local charm, and a little bit of magic all come together.
Kinley’s winning idea stood out for its originality, warmth, and perfect connection to the Conejo Valley spirit. In recognition of her outstanding creativity, she was awarded $250 and honored in front of her school community, a well-deserved celebration for an incredible young talent.
We can’t wait to see “Hillside Trails & Cottontails” come to life in the 2026 Conejo Valley Days Parade. Congratulations, Kinley! Your imagination is leading the parade!
